Maia lived and studied in the US and the UK before returning to Vietnam in 2016. Since then she had been working independently with artists and art spaces on art projects, art fairs and exhibitions. In 2017 Maia joined the SAT team in Hanoi as researcher and guide.

Sophie has worked in the arts in Southeast Asia since 2009; as Manager of Galerie Quynh, as Director for independent film festival Future Shorts Southeast Asia and as Founder of community film organisation mê phim – passionate about film. Since August 2011 she has worked with renowned researchers, artists, gallerists and curators to create Sophie’s Art Tour. Prior to moving to Vietnam she worked in Arts Education and Arts Development.
Stu is the founder of t-shirt brand New Hero Project which works closely with artists to create their designs. He has been involved in the arts community since moving to Vietnam in 2009 organising independent film festival Future Shorts and DJing at music and arts events. He also runs Stu’s Explorer Club which takes out of HCMC into Vietnam’s great outdoors.
Chau manages the online Sophie’s Art Tour research archive. The online archive comprises images, artworks, essays and books. She translates interviews with artists and texts from Vietnamese to English. Chau also compiles our bi-weekly arts and culture newsletter -Vietnam Art Flash.
